Administrative history

Teke települése a 14. században jelenik meg először az írásos dokumentumokban. Mivel flamand telepítés, így temploma egy századdal korábbra tehető. A hitújítás időszakában hívei evangélikusok lettek. A plébánia létrehozását a kolozsvári jezsuita misszió kezdeményezte, amely 1760-tól volt jelen Tekén. 1776-ban főkormányszéki beavatkozással telket is szereztek plébánia és templom részére. Mai templomát 1880-ban építették. A 18–19. században a kolozs–dobokai, majd 1882-ben a marosi főesperesi kerülethez tartozott.

Archival history

Teke levéltárát 2004. november 8-án gyűjtöttük be a Besztercei Gyűjtőlevéltárba, és ugyanekkor rendeztük. A Besztercei Gyűjtőlevéltár költöztetésekor 2009 szeptemberében Szamosújvárra került.
