Az 1950-es években, az akkori püspöki levéltáros létrehozott egy különálló gyűjteményt azokból a kötetekből, amelyek többniyre egyik levéltári anyagba sem voltak addig besorozva. Így jött létre egy vegyes állag, amely történeti értékében igen gazdag, és a benne található köteteket haszonnal tudják forgatni mind a családfa-kutatók, mind a tudományos kutatók.
