Administrative history

A mai plébánia területén fekszik a volt kolozsmonostori bencés apátság egykori templomának szentélye, amelyet I. Béla alapított. Ez az apátság 1874-ig hiteleshelyként működött. A nagy tatárjárás alatt pusztult el, de I. Béla újraalapította. A reformáció után, a bencés rend megszűntével a kolostor világi kézre került. Báthori István adományából 1603-ig a jezsuiták használták, majd iskolát is tartottak fenn 1615-től. 1690-től a romos templomot újra a jezsuiták gondozták. A szentélyt 1818-ban alakították kápolnává. 1924–1992 között a görög katolikusok használták bér fejében.
