Administrative history

A boicai plébániát 1769-ben alapították a betelepült német bányásztelepesek számára. Bulgarita ferencesek adminisztrálták 1797-ig, utána a világi papság gondozta. Fakápolnáját a bányászok építették 1769-ben, temploma 1780–1794 között épült Mária Terézia jótékonyságából.

Mivel a plébániát Brádról adminisztrálták, így levéltárát is Brádon őrizték, amely 2003. október 7-én került be Gyulafehérvárra a brádi anyaggal együtt.
