A magyar gyakorlat szerint a káptalan feladata volt a püspöki törzsvagyon kezelése. Ennek ellenére az erre vonatkozó iratok csak a kiegyezését követő időszakból maradtak fenn egészen 1924-ig, amikor a püspökség vette át a kezelést.
